I just tried a slice of the defrosted cake and was very, very disappointed. It tasted overwhelmingly BITTER and SOUR. It did not taste right. In fact, I am 100% sure that the nuts used in the cake are not fresh, and that they had gone rancid. The creamy texture is the only thing that felt right, but the taste is overwhelmingly bitter, with no hint of coffee or rum (or anything sweet) that people expect from a regular tiramisu. The worst thing is the nuts. The oil/fat in the nuts had gone old. It didn’t even smell right. I don’t often write reviews, and I hate to give a poor review, especially on a vegan offering. However, I paid a lot for this cake and was excited for it. The terrible taste compelled me to write this review.
